Full-service catering company 24+ years; Yelp listing shown updated July 2026 (75 reviews).

What happened on the show

Honest Foods was Tad's catering company, and when Marcus watched the team work a corporate event he was impressed by the food but not the presentation, and quickly saw that Tad was an aggressive micromanager. The business was unstable because it leaned on catering for the film industry, which came and went with the seasons. Marcus told Tad to delegate and let his people solve problems, and moved to expand into food trucks for steadier revenue. When Tad showed up with a truck, the staff were near mutiny over his poor communication, so Marcus let them air their grievances and explained the trucks would benefit them, then bought a second one. An inspection turned up numerous repairs the truck needed, and when Marcus confronted him, Tad snapped and swore at him, only for Marcus to explain that this was exactly how Tad's own employees felt. Marcus had Honest Foods cater a 1,000 person anniversary event for his own companies, and Tad, transformed into a supportive leader, pulled it off through a thunderstorm.

After the cameras left

Honest Foods is still catering. The full service catering company, more than 24 years old, operates out of North Elston Avenue in Chicago, with a Yelp listing updated as recently as July 2026 carrying dozens of reviews. Marcus predicted on air that it would become the go to caterer in Chicago, and whether or not it reached that height, the business is clearly active and well reviewed years later. Confirmed operating as of 2026, high confidence.
