What happened on the show
Michael Sena, a well regarded personal trainer and author, ran a specialized group training gym in Dyer, Indiana with his wife Tina, but the space sat quiet through most of the day. Marcus admired their skill and passion while seeing plainly that the gym needed to broaden into disciplines like yoga and pilates to fill those empty hours, an idea Michael resisted. He structured two offers, $50,000 to Tina alone to launch a line of protein bars for half of that product, and $250,000 to Michael for 75 percent of the gym, contingent on finding a bigger location and diversifying the services. He arranged commercial kitchen space for Tina so she could start turning out bite sized protein snacks. Michael, stung at being sidelined from the deal and unable to break his three year lease, pushed Marcus to walk away. Humbled, he acted on his own to rename the place Tina and Michael's Pro-Fit as a peace offering to his wife.
