Inkkas Global Footwear
Brooklyn, New York
Open. The rescue stuck and it continues to operate.
What happened after
Handcrafted footwear brand, official site live with current collections; company now globally positioned rather than Brooklyn-specific.
What happened on the show
Inkkas was owned by two brothers and their best friend, and it made shoes with distinctive patterns and fabrics drawn from designs around the world. Marcus found the company earning some revenue as a wholesaler but losing money as a retailer, with CEO Dan Ben-Nun dominating the business and spending unchecked on products that did not sell. He offered $750,000 for a controlling 51 percent, closed the failing retail front, and moved the company into one of his own offices in a fashion district. He set a clear template, focus on five styles of shoe built around four global regions, to impose discipline on a scattered brand. Dan struggled with it, too eager to impress Marcus rather than follow the plan, sinking too much time and money into excess materials and shoes. Once he reined in his creative urges, though, he successfully brought the new line to market and held a launch event.
After the cameras left
The footwear brand is still going, and it has outgrown its roots. Inkkas operates a live official site with current collections, positioned now as a global handcrafted footwear brand rather than a Brooklyn specific company. The old Brooklyn headquarters reference survives only in an older directory listing, while the current site does not tie itself to a single location. The discipline Marcus imposed, a focused product line, seems to have taken. Confirmed operating as of 2026, high confidence.
