Faded Royalty
New York City, New York
This one survived. It remains in business.
What happened after
Lower East Side NYC / Jersey City lifestyle apparel brand; between drops at check time (site shows 'Fresh styles arriving soon' countdown for an S/S 26 collection) rather than closed.
What happened on the show
Faded Royalty was the project of a New York City designer with ambitions of building a fashion house, and in the episode's framing the reach far exceeded the grasp. He was disorganized and unfocused, his clothing line had no clear identity, and unpaid loans and an understaffed store were straining his personal relationships along with the business. It was a textbook Profit apparel case, real creative ambition undermined by an absence of the discipline and structure that turns a designer's vision into a functioning company. Marcus's work here would have centered on giving the line a coherent identity, sorting out the finances, and building the basic operational backbone the founder had never put in place. The talent and the drive were evident, but a clothing brand cannot run on vision alone, and the fabric of this one was fraying.
After the cameras left
The brand appears to still be active. Faded Royalty, a Lower East Side and Jersey City lifestyle apparel label, was between drops at the time of our check, its site showing a coming soon countdown for a spring collection rather than any closure. Its Instagram following sits around 13,000, and a Yelp listing carried a July 2026 update timestamp. A between release quiet period is normal for a drop cycle streetwear brand, not a sign of a shutdown. Medium confidence open as of 2026.
