What happened on the show
Artistic Stitch had been a thriving embroidery company until owner Sal ballooned it into a sprawling mini mall, complete with batting pens, a basketball court, and an Italian restaurant, and buried himself in debt doing it. Marcus wanted to close the distractions and refocus on embroidery, offering $660,000 for half the business and full financial control. He set up a do it yourself printing station and rebranded the storefront Queen's Vibe. He soon found the sales manager, Nick, had done almost nothing to market the company beyond Yellow Pages ads and had no contracts with any major clients. Testing him, Marcus took him to a local fire station, where Nick could not deliver a clear pitch, so Marcus stepped in and closed it himself, then switched Nick to a full commission plan. The deal came apart when Marcus uncovered erratic company card spending by Sal along with pending legal action from the landlord over unpaid rent and operating without a proper certificate. Unable to trust Sal, he walked.
After the cameras left
The embroidery business is still going. It trades as Artistic Stitch, an embroidery and custom apparel company operating since 1996, now out of a Glendale address in the Queens area, with a Yelp listing showing a July 2026 update. Stripped back to the craft it was good at, minus the mini mall that sank it, the company has persisted long past the failed on air deal. Confirmed operating as of 2026, high confidence.
