What happened on the show
Leah Dillon and Garret Stewart watched food and alcohol sales slip at their Littleton tavern and worried Leah's son, an aspiring rock star, had grown too entitled as assistant manager. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners in as a music promoter, a waitress and a customer. As aired, the son cannot answer basic booking questions and bumps the night's scheduled band so his own thrash outfit can play to empty tables, a cook and bandmate helping, while a waitress exploits the chaos to hand friends free food and drink. The confrontation has the owners firing the waitress and demoting the son. Given the scripting claims that later dogged Mystery Diners, this rock-star sting is best framed as broadcast rather than as verified.
