Michael Gelfo watched memorabilia sales slide at his Honolulu rock-and-roll cafe and suspected his manager and two waitresses. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Jordan and John in as a waitress and a customer. As aired, one waitress is clean, but another runs a scheme selling worthless junk from home as collectibles, the manager helping by forging a Don Ho signature on a ukulele, while the manager also buys the cafe's own items, including a vintage toaster Stiles planted, and resells them to customers at a markup. The confrontation has Michael firing the manager and the scamming waitress. Because Mystery Diners was later accused of scripting these reveals, this memorabilia sting is best read as broadcast rather than as independently confirmed.
