What happened on the show

Angie Runyan had heard rumors of an unauthorized boat delivery service running out of her Honolulu restaurant. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Jordan and David in as a waitress and a customer. As aired, a general manager and a cook were indeed running deliveries by boat, though tacking on a delivery charge only to pay the boat's owner rather than to pocket anything themselves, while a waitress lifted food from the expediting station to feed her boyfriend for free. The confrontation has Angie firing the waitress and, genuinely moved by the manager's pitch about the money the service brought in, reluctantly letting the boat deliveries continue on a trial run. Given the scripting claims that later dogged Mystery Diners, this delivery sting is best framed as broadcast rather than as verified.

After the cameras left

Cha Cha Cha Salsaria has since closed, on a long clock. The restaurant in the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center closed after twenty-two years around August 2016, the owner selling the business around the same time, per the Star-Advertiser in our 2026 pass. Twenty-two years is a full run, and its ending was ordinary lifecycle rather than any residue of a boat-delivery sting. No successor name surfaced, so we leave that blank rather than guess. A long-lived room reached its natural end.
