What happened on the show

Joe and Shauna Grammatico were missing rental skates and losing food and liquor at their Murrieta roller rink. Charles Stiles' investigator Eliot bought a pair of the rink's own skates online, and a single mystery diner, Kendall, went in as a food-truck cashier. As aired, the staff were not stealing the skates; a manager and cashiers were throwing after-hours parties, closing the rink early and charging a cover for open food and drink, and it was drunk partygoers who lifted skates and cash. The confrontation has the owners firing all four and the thieves handing back what they took. Given the scripting claims that later dogged Mystery Diners, this roller-rink sting is best framed as broadcast rather than as verified.

After the cameras left

Epic Rollertainment has since closed, on a long clock. The beach-themed roller rink at 39809 Avenida Acacias closed around August 2025 after nearly twelve years, confirmed across local coverage in our 2026 pass. Nearly a dozen years is a full run for a rink, and its ending, a decade past the episode, was ordinary lifecycle rather than any residue of an after-hours sting. A long-lived family venue finally wound down, which is how most of these stories actually close.
