business-partner sting
What happened after
No explicit closure statement found; signal is inferential only (domain dead, reviews stale).
What happened on the show
This one was less a sting than an inspection. Jamie Alba, whose Sherman Oaks restaurant the show had featured earlier, called Charles Stiles to help decide whether to invest in a failing Torrance sports bar and grill. The owner insisted nothing was wrong, but with mystery diners Kendall and Kiel undercover, the cameras, as aired, find cockroaches and dead mice, frozen supermarket food filling in because vendors went unpaid, no one checking expiration dates, and a head chef who had quit the night before, leaving a dishwasher to cook and servers to scrub the bathrooms. Jamie declines to invest, and the owner vows to seek a bank loan. Given the scripting claims that later dogged Mystery Diners, this investment sting is best framed as broadcast rather than as verified.
After the cameras left
After the episode, Industry Sports Bar and Grill is hard to confirm. Within the episode the owner's loan fell through and the room shut, but we found no independent closure statement in our 2026 pass, only a dead domain and stale reviews at 22735 Hawthorne Boulevard, so we hold it at last confirmed rather than assert a status on inference alone. Mystery Diners left no verifiable rescue here, and the honest answer is that the outside record cannot settle it either way.
