LA Dogworks

Orange County, California

OPEN

Open. The rescue stuck and it continues to operate.

What happened after

Business now operates from Los Angeles (Hollywood), not Orange County as in spine; 24/7 boarding/grooming facility, active Aug 2025 Yelp review found.

What happened on the show

Andrew ran LA Dogworks as a full service kennel offering boarding, grooming, and training, but he understood almost nothing about running a business, and the kennels sat mostly empty while monthly profits stayed near the floor. Marcus tentatively offered $1 million for half the company and full operational control, and began developing private label products for the brand. The real problem, though, was Andrew himself. He was scathing toward customers, firing back aggressively at online complaints, and worse toward his own staff, treating their grievances as incompetence and showing no compassion when an employee was bitten, blaming the worker instead. His people started out hopeful about Marcus's arrival and then began quitting as Andrew's behavior curdled. Marcus brought in a psychologist to observe him at work, and the assessment came back describing a sociopath. A last confrontation between Andrew, his manager, and Marcus ended in silence and Andrew storming off. There was no deal to salvage.

After the cameras left

The business outlasted the meltdown, though it moved. LA Dogworks now operates as a 24 hour boarding and grooming facility in Hollywood, on North Highland Avenue in Los Angeles, rather than the Orange County location listed when it aired, with an active Yelp review as recent as August 2025. We flag the geography as a likely spine correction. The current site carries no history page confirming an Orange County location under this name ever existed, so either the record needs a second look or the original location closed and only the Los Angeles flagship remains. Either way the company is trading. Medium confidence open as of 2026.
