Coco Taps
Las Vegas, Nevada
Still going, now under a new name. It now goes by CocoLove (CocoLove Water).
What happened after
Coconut-tapping kit / pre-tapped coconut beverage company (founder 'CocoVinny'); rebranded to CocoLove / CocoLove Water and relocated from Las Vegas to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
What happened on the show
Coco Taps was the venture of a founder who went by Coco Vinny, and his mission was to spread what he called the coco love across the country by selling coconut beverages and the tapping kits that opened them. The episode's central question was whether he could prove to Marcus that the concept was a valid business rather than a personality driven novelty, with the warning that otherwise the company could crack up. It was a recognizable Profit test, an enthusiastic founder with a distinctive product who still had to demonstrate real demand and a workable model before earning an investment. Marcus's approach in a case like this meant pressure testing the concept, the economics, and the founder's ability to build something durable around a single charismatic idea. The coconut product had novelty on its side, which made proving the underlying business the thing Coco Vinny had to accomplish on air.
After the cameras left
The company continues under a new name and a new home. Coco Taps rebranded as CocoLove and moved from Las Vegas out to Kailua-Kona in Hawaii, with cocotaps.com now redirecting to the CocoLove site, which explicitly states that the CocoLove phrase was created by the founder of CocoTaps, confirming the continuity. The new operation is based on Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona, with a recent copyright footer and a founder social post confirming activity. Renamed and operating as of 2026, high confidence.
