What happened on the show
A former dishwasher who had worked his way up before opening his own place, Nick Scaringella ran Cap'n and the Cowboy, a steak-and-seafood restaurant in Port Charlotte, Florida. Robert Irvine was stunned to learn how little Nick knew about his own finances. Corners were being cut and the food landed as mediocre, so the intervention paired a kitchen fix with a decluttering makeover that stripped the room down and improved what came off the line. The two-day, roughly ten-thousand-dollar format set the terms, with the design and build team resetting the space while Irvine worked on the food and the owner.
