What happened on the show
Lotus on Flower is the rare Mystery Diners case where the record itself is thin, and honesty means saying so. As the brief synopsis has it, owner Bruce ran a naked-sushi dining experience in Los Angeles, lost several of his nyotaimori models, and feared that one of his best customers was behaving inappropriately during the blackout-intimate service. Charles Stiles sent a single mystery diner, Christine, undercover as a model to find out who was encouraging it. That is nearly all the aired account preserves; the episode notably ran only once before Food Network pulled it from rotation, which is itself the most documented fact about it. We decline to embroider the sting beyond what aired, and, as with the whole series and its later staging allegations, even this sketch is best read as broadcast rather than as verified.
