Dave and Mike Frank kept hearing that the security guard at their Philadelphia cheesesteak shop was too rough with customers and bossy with staff. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Kiara and Joe in as a customer and a fellow guard. As aired, the guard, Fury, treats a sandwich shop like a nightclub door, searching coworkers' lockers, turning away sober customers, and even keeping intoxicated ones from eating before they drive. The sting also catches a cashier stealing food under cover of the chaos. The confrontation has the owners firing the cashier and putting Fury on probation rather than out the door. Stiles closes with revenue up. Given the scripting claims that later dogged Mystery Diners, this overzealous-guard sting is best framed as broadcast rather than as independently confirmed.
