revisited in Season 9 Episode 6 'Private Chef Sting' (aired 2015-03-11), a private-chef catering theft sting tied to the same owner; not given a separate row per no-duplicate rule
What happened after
'The Original Capo's Restaurant & Speakeasy,' mob-themed Italian restaurant at 5675 W Sahara Ave; current hours and heavy recent review volume (OpenTable 5500+, Yelp 2900+) found.
What happened on the show
Nico Santucci had heard his brother and manager was behaving badly with women at his Las Vegas Italian restaurant, and there were sales problems besides. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Andy and Jennifer in as customers. The surveillance, as aired, catches brother Dominick hitting on female patrons and, separately, turns up the actual thief: a disgruntled waiter named Larry lifting money and supplies. The confrontation has Nico firing Larry and giving Dominick a second chance, Dominick promising his brother he will rein it in. Stiles closes with the behavior toned down and Larry gone. Because Mystery Diners later faced sustained allegations of scripting, this two-target family sting is best read as broadcast, a portrait shaped for television rather than an independently confirmed account of the night.
After the cameras left
Capo's is a firm survivor, and it did not need saving. The mob-themed Italian restaurant and speakeasy is still open at 5675 West Sahara Avenue, carrying heavy recent review volume across OpenTable and Yelp in our 2026 pass. A distinctive, well-trafficked room a decade on is the opposite of a business in crisis, and its longevity underscores how little the show's alarm predicted about which places would last. This one lasted easily, on the strength of the concept, not a camera crew.
