family/employee (owner's brother) theft sting
What happened after
Italian/pizza restaurant formerly at 6485 S Rainbow Blvd; Foursquare's own listing and menu-subpage titles both carry the '(Now Closed)' tag (the MapQuest-style closed-prefix convention, here on Foursquare).
What happened on the show
Rich Tyson feared his own brother could not run the front of his Las Vegas Italian and pizza spot the way he ran the kitchen, and he wanted a look at a veteran waitress he thought had checked out. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Danny and Deanna in as a customer and a waitress. As aired, the waitress Dawn proves an asset, while brother and manager Andrew comes off unprofessional, quick to anger, rude to guests, and drinking on shift. Before Stiles and Rich can stage the confrontation, Andrew bolts mid-shift and drives off. Rich promotes Dawn to assistant manager, and the narration says Andrew later apologized and got a second chance in the kitchen. With the series' staging allegations in view, this brother-versus-brother beat is best taken as broadcast rather than as verified.
After the cameras left
The on-camera fix did not translate into staying power. 3 Tomatoes and a Mozzarella, once at 6485 South Rainbow Boulevard, now carries the now-closed tag on its Foursquare listing as of our 2026 pass, the evidence effectively single-source and so held at medium confidence. Mystery Diners was filming a family squabble, not running a turnaround, and the restaurant closed in the ordinary way plenty of independents do, with no successor stepping into the name at that address.
