What happened on the show

Marty Tunnell was fielding staff gripes about a new manager and customer gripes about a locked-off VIP room at his Las Vegas bar. Charles Stiles sent mystery diners Hollie, Andy and John in as a bartender, a liquor rep and a customer. As aired, the new manager is unfairly suspected and proves a model employee, while a bartender, sore about being passed over for that very job, is the real problem, badmouthing the boss, keeping her boyfriend's crew parked in the VIP room over paying guests, comping drinks, and raiding the owner's private cigar stash, even trashing a pillow her boyfriend scorched. The confrontation has Marty firing her. Because Mystery Diners was later accused of staging these reveals, this VIP-room sting is best read as broadcast rather than as independently confirmed.

After the cameras left

Barefoot Bob's has since closed. The bar at 1590 East Flamingo Road is marked closed on the directory listing we found, with no closure date surfacing, held at medium confidence in our 2026 pass. A Las Vegas bar shutting somewhere down the line is unremarkable attrition, not the fallout of a hidden-camera night years earlier. Mystery Diners filmed a bartender sting; it did not set the clock on which this room eventually went dark, which the record simply cannot date precisely.
