Season 3, Episode 7 · July 19, 2016 · inn
Described as a seaside inn with attached restaurant.
What happened after
Oceanfront property at the same address (110 S Ocean Dr) remains active; some current listings use the variant name 'Beachfront Inn - Plaza Hotel & Suites' but this reads as a listing-site naming variant rather than a formal rebrand.
What happened on the show
Gordon reached Fort Pierce, Florida to rescue the Beachfront Inn & Inlet, a seafront inn with an attached restaurant, run by a young owner, Brian Paul. The warning signs stacked up fast: overpriced gift-shop merchandise, staff made to buy their own uniforms and nametags, a room that smelled of mold, and dust and dirt throughout. Lunch brought dry chicken wings, a baffling lobster mac and cheese, and a tuna burger pulled from the freezer, despite Brian's claim that all the seafood was fresh. The kitchen held a long-expired tub of foaming cocktail mix, meat stored so it cross-contaminated, and produce well past its prime. Dinner service exposed how little the kitchen communicated, with customers complaining about bar noise and one guest suffering an allergy attack from a dusty air conditioning unit. Ramsay renovated the rooms and installed a fresh bistro menu, but the relaunch overwhelmed Brian, who could not even get the town's mayor her food. Ramsay left frustrated that his advice had gone unheeded.
After the cameras left
The story had a brief second act before it ended. A few months after Ramsay left, Brian finally put some of the recommended changes in place, and the Fort Pierce inn grew more popular for a time. It did not last. In 2019, after another sale to new owners, the hotel shut for good. The oceanfront address at 110 South Ocean Drive stays active today: current listings show a property operating there, some under a variant name that reads more like a booking-site label than a formal rebrand. We could not reach an official standalone site to resolve the naming, so we hold the current status at medium confidence. The location lives on, even if the Beachfront Inn & Inlet as Brian ran it did not.
