Kitchen Nightmares Season 10: Will These 4 Survive?

Kitchen Nightmares Season 10 premieres tonight, Tuesday July 21 2026, on FOX, and here is the number that should frame everything you are about to watch: across the 97 US restaurants from Seasons 1 through 9 that have actually aired and been through the process, 69 have closed. That is the base rate the four new restaurants are walking into, and it is why we built this preview from our own US Kitchen Nightmares record rather than from hope.

We track every business Gordon Ramsay has ever tried to save. Below is exactly what airs and when, what is verifiably true about each of the four restaurants going into their episode, and what a decade of aftermath data says about which of them is likely to still be open a year from now.

What Season 10 actually is

Season 10 is a continuation of the show's FOX revival, not a nostalgia special. It opens with a two-hour block tonight, July 21, carrying the first two episodes back to back, and then settles into a regular Tuesday slot. Per the TVmaze listing we verified on July 21, the schedule reads:

So four restaurants are confirmed and named, a fifth episode is on the calendar for August 11 with no title attached yet, and the season may run longer than that. We will add pages as each business is confirmed.

The four restaurants, before air

A word on what follows. These are pre-episode snapshots. None of these restaurants has aired yet, so nothing here describes what Ramsay finds inside. What we can do honestly is tell you what each place looks like from the outside right now, verified as of our July 2026 data pass, so you have a real baseline to measure the episode against.

Freddy's Steak House in Hammond, Indiana opens the season. Going into its episode it is still trading, with an active site advertising current hours and a "60 years of quality" line, a feature on America's Best Restaurants, and a 3.4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor that ranks it 17th of 76 Hammond restaurants. FOX's own promotion frames it as a longtime family steakhouse in trouble, which is the network's teaser, not a fact we have verified. The dining-room reality is what tonight is for.

4 Star Diner in Roland, Oklahoma is the back half of the premiere. On paper it is the strongest of the four before air: a 4.4 Tripadvisor rating that puts it first of 12 Roland restaurants, a 4.8 average across more than 2,500 Restaurant Guru reviews, and a 94 out of 100 health score. A restaurant that popular going in makes for a different kind of episode than a failing one, which is part of why it is worth watching.

Love on the Blu in Blue Island, Illinois airs July 28. It is a breakfast and brunch spot, and as of a June 2026 listing it was very much open and serving, with hundreds of reviews and posted morning hours. Ramsay's brunch-restaurant episodes are rare, so this one stands out on format alone.

Borelli's Pizzeria in Chicago closes out the confirmed run on August 4. It is a family-owned pizzeria in the Lincoln Square and Ravenswood area, operating since 2013, and recent reviews through early 2026 describe a "newly revamped" room with live music and opera nights. That is an unusually well-documented before picture, which will make the after easy to judge.

What our history says about their odds

Here is where the directory earns its keep. Set aside the four new names, which have not been through anything yet, and look only at the 97 US restaurants from Seasons 1 through 9 that have aired. The record is blunt.

Of those 97, 69 have closed, which is 71.1 percent. Just 22 are still open under their original concept, which is 22.7 percent, barely better than one in five. Fold in the restaurants that survived in a changed form, the four sold to new owners, the one relocated, and the one renamed, and you reach 28 still operating in some fashion, or 28.9 percent. However you count it, roughly seven of every ten restaurants that get this exact treatment are gone within a few years.

That is the honest odds line for Freddy's, the 4 Star Diner, Love on the Blu, and Borelli's. Statistically, two of the four should still be open a year out, and two should not.

What actually decides who makes it

The survivors are not random, and they are not the ones who got the biggest on-camera makeover. The pattern in our aftermath data is consistent: the restaurants that lasted are the ones where a capable owner treated the episode as a starting push and kept doing the work after the crew left. Lido di Manhattan in Manhattan Beach was still operating nearly 14 years later, and its owner went on to open a second place. The most recent aired restaurant, Blake's Place in New Orleans from Season 9, remains open as of our latest check.

The closures usually share a different pattern. The kitchen drifts back to the old menu within weeks, or the debt and mismanagement that put the restaurant on the show were never really solved by three days of filming. The most famous casualty, Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, the only restaurant Ramsay walked out on, held on for two more years and then closed in September 2015. There is also a structural reason restaurants fail at a higher rate than the hotels on our other rescue shows: a restaurant rarely owns its building, it lives on nightly cover counts rather than advance bookings, and when it goes it simply goes dark. Ramsay's original British run makes the point even harder, with a lower survival rate still on the UK series.

So as you watch, the tell is not the tearful reveal at the end of the hour. It is whether the owner looks capable of running the place on the Wednesday after the cameras leave.
