Still open. It kept its doors open after the show.
The short answer
PRE-AIR VERDICT CONFIRMED: Kitchen Nightmares Season 10 has NOT aired as of date_checked (2026-07-19). FOX's own press release (foxflash.com, directly fetched) confirms the two-hour S10 premiere is Tuesday July 21 2026, 8-10pm ET/PT -- 2 days in the future at time of this check. This row reflects PRE-EPISODE baseline operating status only: official site live with current hours (Tue-Thu 12-8pm, Sat 4:30-10pm), '60 years of quality,' featured on America's Best Restaurants, TripAdvisor 3.4/5 (#17 of 76 Hammond restaurants).
What happened on the show
As of this writing, the Freddy's Steak House episode has not yet aired. It is slated to open Kitchen Nightmares Season 10 in a two-hour premiere on July 21, 2026, so what happens when Ramsay walks in remains to be seen, and this entry will be updated once the episode airs. Going in, Freddy's is a Hammond steakhouse with a long track record, promoting sixty years of quality and a feature on America's Best Restaurants, though its middling traveler ratings hint at the kind of slippage that tends to draw the show's attention. Whatever specific problems Ramsay finds, from the food to the family behind it, will be documented here rather than guessed at now. For the moment, all that can be said honestly is that a six-decade-old steakhouse is about to get the Kitchen Nightmares treatment on national television.
After the cameras left
There is no aftermath to report yet, because the episode has not aired. Ahead of its Season 10 premiere, Freddy's was operating normally in Hammond, its official site live with posted hours and its sixty-year history intact, sitting mid-pack among the town's restaurants. Whether Ramsay's intervention helps, hurts, or barely moves the needle will only be clear after July 21, 2026, and after the dust settles on whatever the cameras captured. Until then, the honest status is simply open and awaiting its moment on the show.
