The Recovery Room Bar
San Antonio, Texas
Same spot, new identity after the show. It now goes by The Base Line.
What happened after
Renamed The Base Line after its Bar Rescue makeover; still operating, confirmed via an active Facebook page (post dated July 3, 2026) and a live Yelp listing.
What happened on the show
A bar and a marriage were both crippled by the actions of a party-hungry owner, and Taffer set out to shut the party down. At The Recovery Room Bar in San Antonio, the owner's relentless partying had bled into both his business and his home life, and Taffer, disgusted enough by what he saw to perform his own recon, watched the surveillance alongside a pair of podcast hosts before confronting the damage. The rescue worked to sober up the operation and salvage the marriage the partying had strained. Taffer reopened the venue as The Base Line, a rebrand meant to give the room a fresh identity once the owner was pushed to grow up, betting that curbing the partying could steady both the bar and the relationship it had been dragging down.
After the cameras left
The Base Line stuck and is still operating. The rebranded bar continues at 1139 Harry Wurzbach Road in San Antonio, confirmed by an active Facebook page with a post dated July 2026 and a live Yelp listing, which puts the open call at high confidence. The party-hungry owner's bar survived his worst habits and kept the Base Line identity Taffer gave it, landing this one firmly among the renamed survivors, a cleaner outcome than most in the San Antonio stretch of season six.
