What happened on the show
A cigar man's move into the bar business got off to a rocky start when he hired his inexperienced son to run it. At Havana Mix Cigar in Memphis, the owner knew cigars but not bars, and handing the operation to an untested son compounded the problem, leaving a promising downtown cigar-and-bar concept struggling out of the gate. The rescue worked to professionalize the operation and sort out the father-son management divide. Taffer rebranded the venue as Robusto by Havana Mix, a sharper identity for the cigar-lounge-and-bar concept, betting that a clearer brand and a functional management structure could turn a cigar expert's rocky bar venture into a going concern in downtown Memphis. A downtown Memphis location gave the concept real upside, and the rescue's task was to make sure the cigars, the bar and the son's role all pulled in the same direction rather than against each other.
After the cameras left
Robusto by Havana Mix stuck and is still operating. The rebranded cigar lounge and bar is currently active at 250 Peabody Place in downtown Memphis, confirmed by an official site, an active Facebook page and a Downtown Memphis directory listing, which puts the status at high confidence as a renamed survivor. The cigar man's bar overcame its rocky start and kept the Robusto identity Taffer gave it, landing this one firmly among the survivors and one of the cleaner outcomes in the early stretch of season six.
