No evidence gathered. Repeated search-engine outages (Yahoo 500 / Brave 429) blocked all research attempts for this entity within the shard window.

What happened on the show

A foul-mouthed owner was driving women out of a failing Michigan bar with a confusing theme, her vulgarity and rudeness degrading her staff along the way. At The Hooch in Dearborn Heights, Taffer had to confront an owner whose behavior was actively narrowing the room's audience and hollowing out its crew, the kind of personality problem no amount of decor could fix on its own. The rescue worked to curb the owner's conduct and give the muddled bar a coherent identity. Taffer reopened the venue as Proving Ground, a rebrand meant to trade the confusing theme and toxic atmosphere for something a broader crowd could embrace, betting that a chastened owner and a clear concept could pull a room its own boss had been alienating back toward relevance.

After the cameras left

The Hooch's current status could not be verified. Repeated search-engine outages blocked research within the original window, and later passes surfaced a rename to Proving Ground Bar and Grill, with the owners reportedly some 350,000 dollars in debt at filming and the bar said to have later sold, but that lead traced only to sources the project cannot cite. No independent, citable evidence of the current status was obtained. With nothing verifiable in hand, the status is honestly recorded as unverifiable, the Proving Ground lead left open for a cleaner follow-up.
