What happened after
Bar (styled 'Rhythm 'n' Brews' in some coverage) became '5th & Vine' after Bar Rescue, then was reimagined as 'Cypress Hall' at 1674 Richmond Rd, Dongan Hills, per SILive.com's Staten Island dining coverage; the venue continues operating as a different concept under new ownership/branding.
What happened on the show
A biker gang had effectively taken over a Staten Island bar, cooking their own food behind the counter and helping themselves to drinks, all because the owner could not bring himself to stand up to them. At Rhythm and Brews, Taffer's job was to help the owners find the courage to reclaim their own room and get back to the glory days the gang's occupation had buried. The rescue was as much about backbone as operations, since no fix would hold while the same crowd ran the place unchallenged. Taffer reopened the venue as 5th and Vine, a cleaner identity meant to signal that the owners had taken their bar back and reset who it was for, betting that a fresh concept and a little nerve could pry the room loose from the regulars who had claimed it.
After the cameras left
The Staten Island address kept evolving after the show. Per SILive.com, the independent local news outlet, the space that was Rhythm and Brews and then 5th and Vine now operates as Cypress Hall at 1674 Richmond Road in Dongan Hills, a different concept under new branding. Two separately dated SILive articles, from February 2023 and May 2024, corroborate the current identity, though direct fetches were blocked and the URLs captured via snippets, holding confidence at medium. The room is still a going bar, just a few identities removed from the one Taffer rescued.
