What happened on the show
Personal tragedies and the global pandemic were just two of the problems weighing on a Tucson bar when Taffer arrived. At The County Line Lounge and Grille, the owner was carrying real loss on top of the operational strain COVID had inflicted, and the rescue had to address both the human and the business sides of a room under pressure from several directions at once. Taffer reopened the venue as The Billy Bar, a rebrand meant to give the room a fresh identity as its owner worked through the grief and the pandemic's aftermath, betting that a clearer concept and a disciplined operation could steady a bar that had been hit by tragedy and circumstance alike. A Tucson bar carrying both grief and pandemic strain at once, it needed a rescue that treated the owner's losses as seriously as the operational repairs the room required.
After the cameras left
The County Line Lounge, rebranded The Billy Bar, is still operating at the same address and phone, 1145 West Prince Road in Tucson. A January 2026 Facebook post at that address said the bar was keeping normal hours, opening at 10 a.m., which puts the open call at medium confidence. A mismatched search result pointing to an unrelated Facebook page was discarded as noise. The tragedy-hit Tucson bar survived and kept the Billy Bar identity Taffer gave it, landing this one among the renamed survivors of the eighth season.
