The Bullpen Bar

Sparks, Nevada

CLOSED

The rescue did not hold; it later closed in 2019. The site is now home to unspecified new bar as of 2026 (per gazettereview.com; name not captured).

What happened after

Renamed Oak Tavern (Bar Rescue S4E421, aired June 2015, owner Dan Serafini). gazettereview.com (secondary, capped medium) directly confirms: 'The Bullpen Bar fell back into disarray and finally closed its doors in 2019... As of 2026, there is a new bar at their old NV location' (successor name not given in this source).

Closure date on record: 2019

What happened on the show

Retired professional pitcher Dan Serafini had traded the mound for a bar top and struggled with the leap to leadership. At The Bullpen Bar in Sparks, Nevada, Serafini let his staff drink themselves useless and give away his profits, running the room like a permanent clubhouse rather than a business. Taffer's rescue centered on turning a ballplayer accustomed to being one of the guys into an actual boss, someone who could hold a payroll and a crowd accountable. He reopened the venue as Oak Tavern, a cleaner identity meant to give a directionless bar a reason to draw customers and its owner a reason to take the job seriously, betting that Serafini could learn to lead a room the way he had once anchored a rotation, if he stopped treating the bar as a place to party alongside his staff.

After the cameras left

Oak Tavern eventually slid back into disarray and closed in 2019. Gazette Review, a general reality-update outlet treated as a secondary source, confirmed via direct fetch that the bar fell apart and shut its doors that year, and reported that a new, unnamed bar occupies the old Nevada location as of 2026, which puts the closure at medium confidence. A competing claim that the room kept the Oak Tavern name and stayed open traced only to banned trackers and was not used. Serafini's bar did not, in the end, hold its footing.
