What happened after

Also referred to as 'The Alibi Casino'; renamed 'Garnet Lounge' after its Season 3 Bar Rescue episode. Owner Artie Coury had opened the original bar in 1998. Garnet Lounge closed New Year's Eve 2013, less than two months after the Bar Rescue episode aired, per Vegas Inc (Las Vegas Sun business desk, independent primary news).

Closure date on record: 2013-12

What happened on the show

A motorsports-themed Las Vegas bar had built a culture so hostile to women that it was strangling its own business. At The Alibi, also known as the Alibi Casino, the employees' vulgar behavior, including the open display of a sex doll, gave the room a reputation no broad crowd would tolerate, and Taffer pushed the owner to reassert control over a staff that had turned the place into a clubhouse for its worst instincts. Owner Artie Coury had opened the bar back in 1998, long enough to have real equity to protect, but the female-unfriendly theme was actively narrowing its audience. Taffer reworked the concept and reopened the room as Garnet Lounge, a cleaner identity meant to shed the crude motorsports act and welcome the customers the old approach had chased away, betting that a fresh name and enforced standards could reset who felt comfortable walking in.

After the cameras left

Garnet Lounge barely lasted the holidays. The rebranded bar closed on New Year's Eve 2013, less than two months after the episode aired, a closure confirmed by Vegas Inc, the Las Vegas Sun's business desk, which stated plainly that Garnet Lounge, previously known as Alibi Casino, shut its doors that night. A MapQuest closed tag corroborates. The primary local source puts this at high confidence: whatever Taffer changed, the room did not survive its first New Year under the new name.
