Revisited in Back to the Bar: Drunky McDrunkerton Returns (S5E13, aired 2016-11-20) as Gipsy

What happened after

Upscale LGBTQ+ bar & nightclub at 4605 Paradise Rd, Fruit Loop District. Currently operating Thursday-Sunday nights with a relaunched Drag Ultra Brunch (Jan 24 2026).

What happened on the show

Taffer went to save Las Vegas's first gay nightclub from an owner who was both verbally abusive and frequently drunk on his own floor. Gipsy sat in the city's Fruit Loop district and carried real cultural weight as a pioneering venue, which raised the stakes of a rescue where the biggest liability was the man who owned the place. His behavior toward staff and patrons alike was actively driving the club toward collapse, and Taffer's work centered on confronting that conduct before it finished off a room that mattered to its community. The makeover relaunched the venue as SBLV, short for South Beach Las Vegas, a brighter identity meant to reposition a historic club for a new era. The rescue would go on to produce one of the series' bluntest outcomes, but on the night of the relaunch the bet was straightforward: that an abusive, intoxicated owner could be pushed to change enough to let a landmark survive him.

After the cameras left

Gipsy delivered one of the show's bluntest epilogues, the first to state outright that a bar had closed since Taffer's visit: the owner declared the overhaul a mistake and shut the doors two days after the relaunch. The name later returned. An upscale bar and nightclub now operates as Gipsy at 4605 Paradise Road, running Thursday through Sunday with a relaunched drag brunch as of January 2026, but one source suggests the original was demolished and the name revived at a new venue, leaving continuity from the Bar Rescue business unresolved. Confidence sits at medium.
