Revisited in Back to the Bar: No Laughing Matter (S4E42, aired 2015-12-20) as Stand Up Scottsdale

What happened after

Comedy club at 5101 N Scottsdale Rd. Facebook page (12,270 likes) shows continued identity under the original name; a rename to 'The Laugh Factory' was mentioned in one snippet but conflicts with the spine's own revisit note (S4E42, 2015-12-20, still billed as 'Stand Up Scottsdale'), so the rename claim was not carried into current_name.

What happened on the show

Taffer stepped away from bars proper to work a Scottsdale comedy club, where the challenge was less about pour costs than about laughs and dollars. Stand Up, Scottsdale needed both more comedy landing in the room and more money coming out of the customers who filled it, a business built on a stage rather than a bar top. The rescue focused on turning a night of stand-up into a genuinely profitable operation, tightening how the club made its money without dulling the reason people came in the first place. It was an unusual assignment for the series, a venue whose product was performance, and Taffer had to balance the economics against the atmosphere. The episode carries an odd footnote of its own: it has been pulled from Paramount Network reruns, along with its website, its app and Paramount+, quietly dropped from circulation. What stayed on the table was the core question of whether a comedy club could be run like a real business and still keep the room laughing.

After the cameras left

Stand Up Scottsdale appears to still be operating under its original name at 5101 North Scottsdale Road, with a Facebook page carrying more than 12,000 likes. A snippet mentioning a rename to The Laugh Factory conflicts with the show's own revisit, which still billed the venue as Stand Up Scottsdale in December 2015, so that rename was not carried into the record. Direct confirmation that the Facebook page is currently active, rather than dormant, was blocked by CAPTCHA walls across multiple passes, holding the open call at medium confidence.
