What happened after
At 615 Bourbon St (French Quarter); Bar Rescue renamed it 'Spirits on Bourbon.' Now operating under a further rebrand as 'Tipsy Trumpet.'
What happened on the show
Brad built Turtle Bay in the literal shadow of the New Orleans bar that had ejected him, and it showed on every wall. His French Quarter room borrowed its entire identity from Tropical Isle, the business he had helped set up before being pushed out, right down to a signature drink that copied the gimmicky glass and lurid color of Tropical Isle's famous Hand Grenade. The bar was so empty and so devoid of character that Taffer's recon team walked straight past the door without registering it as a destination at all. Taffer hammered that total lack of identity, along with the microwaved food coming out of the kitchen, and set about giving the room something of its own. He remade it as Spirits on Bourbon, leaning into a ghostly theme fit for the Quarter, switching the primary color to blue, inventing cocktails like the Resurrection, and putting fresh, authentic Louisiana cooking on the menu, betting that a real identity could finally pull a crowd past the door.
After the cameras left
Spirits on Bourbon gave the address the identity it had lacked, and the site is still trading, now under a further rebrand as Tipsy Trumpet. The 615 Bourbon Street venue shows a January 2026 social post thanking patrons, consistent with active operation, and a Reddit account corroborates the inside-rebrand while the old signage lingered. TripAdvisor ranks Tipsy Trumpet among the very top New Orleans listings. Confidence is medium, the through-line from Taffer's makeover to a thriving Bourbon Street room intact.
