Speakeasy Bar & Grill

Kenner, Louisiana

UNVERIFIED

Current status unconfirmed after an independent check. The last confirmed sighting we found dates to 2017.

What happened after

Renamed on air (S5E18); per Wikipedia's Bar Rescue season 5 episode list, the bar "reverted to its original name following the rescue." No independent open/closed status signal was obtained this session.

What happened on the show

An owner twerked her way to tears when her bar got badly out of step. At Speakeasy Bar and Grill in Kenner, Louisiana, the owner's antics had come to define an operation that had lost its footing, and the rescue worked to refocus her on running a business rather than performing in it. The episode marked a milestone for the series, the first to feature an expert drawn from a previously rescued bar, as Taffer recruited bartender Ashley Clark from an earlier rescue to serve as a mixology expert. Taffer reopened the room as The Second Line Co. Festival Bar and Grill, a New Orleans-flavored rebrand meant to give the venue a coherent local identity, betting that a refocused owner and a festive concept could pull a room that had wandered out of step back into rhythm.

After the cameras left

Speakeasy's current status could not be verified. Per Wikipedia's episode list, the bar reverted to its original name following the rescue, but that note describes only a name change, not the room's current operating status, and no independent open-or-closed signal was obtained. With the only lead on file explicitly excluded as status evidence and no other citable source in hand, the current status is honestly recorded as unverifiable, the Second Line rebrand confirmed only as the on-air rename and its present-day fate left open.
