What happened after
Renamed BARcode (aka 'Bar Code') after the Bar Rescue makeover; restaurantguru.com direct fetch confirms the listing is marked permanently closed at a matching address.
What happened on the show
A personal feud between twin brothers was threatening the bar they jointly owned, and it took one brother's son, nephew to the other, calling Taffer in to try to save the family business. At R.G.'s Lounge in Independence, Missouri, the young man worked with Taffer ahead of time, feeding him inside information on the bar's problems and sitting beside him for the recon, a nephew caught in the middle of his father and uncle's war. The rescue's real work was less about drink specs than about forcing two twins to stop letting their grudge run the business into the ground. Taffer reopened the room as BARcode, a modern rebrand meant to give a bar defined by family conflict a clean, contemporary identity and, ideally, a reason for the brothers to unite behind something new rather than keep fighting over the old.
After the cameras left
BARcode has since closed. A direct fetch of restaurantguru confirms the listing marked permanently closed at a matching address, 9100 East 35th Street South in Independence, putting the closure at medium confidence on a single independent source. The twins' feud outlasted the makeover: whatever truce the rescue brokered, the rebranded bar did not survive, and the room the nephew tried to save for his family is gone.
