Revisited in Back to the Bar: Stubborn Owners (S4E27, aired 2015-08-02) as O'Face Bar

What happened after

Dated Yelp reviews (Jul 2025, Mar 2025) and a Mar 2025 Facebook post were quoted in research suggesting ongoing operation, but no independently citable URL was captured before search-engine outages blocked verification.

What happened on the show

Some rescues cannot be rescued. Taffer and mixologist Russell were called to a Council Bluffs trailer bar whose staff was far more bent on drinking and having a good time than on running a business. Server Cerissa and bouncer Bryan, nicknamed Syck, were the only two who showed any concern for the patrons or the room. The staff's drunken, self-centered antics were so relentless that Taffer could not even begin the recon, let alone train anyone, and a brawl broke out between employees that ended with the defending party fired against his orders. After a long string of total failures, Taffer ran a full background check on the operation, uncovered numerous reports of violent behavior, and walked out. O'Face Bar became the first rescue he ever aborted, a line the show had never crossed before.

After the cameras left

O'Face Bar's current status could not be verified. Dated 2025 Yelp reviews and a Facebook post quoted in research suggest the bar is still operating at 2400 9th Avenue, but no independently citable source was captured before search outages blocked confirmation. Off camera, the record turned darker still: in February 2016, owner Matt faced arrest on suspicion of second-degree sexual abuse. The bar reportedly lost its liquor license in 2014 and later regained operating status per an uncited claim. With no verifiable evidence, the present status is honestly held as unverifiable.
