What happened on the show

Employees privately accused the owner of hurting his own Idaho bar with his drinking, but would not repeat the claims to his face, and that cowardice helped blow up the rescue. At Hideaway Bar and Grill in Meridian, Taffer confronted the staff with footage of their own accusations, then walked out, furious that they called him a liar for repeating what they themselves had said, and that the owner would not admit to his drinking or accept his reputation as the town drunk being tied to the bar. Taffer noted this was only his third walkout in 240 episodes, no small matter, and the cameras showed the crew packing up their equipment. It was also the third rescue to debut no new cocktails, a mark of how completely the intervention collapsed.

The owners announced the closure via social media, and the property was sold, with no successor business found under a new open name, which puts the closure at high confidence. The bar Taffer walked out on did not survive long: whatever the drinking and the staff's cowardice cost the room during the failed rescue, it shut its doors within months, one of the show's rare aborted interventions ending in closure.
