Revisited in Back to the Bar: For Whom the Cajun Belle Tolls (S5E29, aired 2017-09-03) as The Cajun Belle

What happened after

Renamed "The Cajun Belle" after the S4E51 rescue; spine note confirms the rescue name was retained through a 2017 revisit episode. Tamales Express, a different business, now operates at the same address (18283 Soledad Canyon Rd), confirming turnover.

What happened on the show

The city was threatening to shut down a Santa Clarita bar after its owner unsafely renovated the place without a permit, turning a business problem into a regulatory emergency. At Grinders, Taffer had to school a clueless rookie owner and bring a genuine construction disaster up to code before the authorities stepped in and closed the doors for him, a rescue racing a permitting clock as much as a balance sheet. The owner's inexperience showed in every corner, from the illegal build-out to the lack of any real operating plan, and Taffer had to teach the fundamentals from the ground up. The makeover reopened the room as The Cajun Belle, a Louisiana-themed rebrand meant to give the bar a marketable identity once the unsafe construction was fixed, betting that a coherent concept and a code-compliant room could turn a rookie owner's near-disaster into a going concern before the city intervened.

After the cameras left

Grinders, as The Cajun Belle, has since closed. The rescue name held through the show's 2017 revisit, but a different business, Tamales Express, now operates at the same address, 18283 Soledad Canyon Road, confirming the turnover, which holds the closure at medium confidence. The rookie owner's bar did not survive: whatever the makeover fixed, the Cajun Belle identity eventually gave way to an unrelated restaurant, and the room Taffer raced to bring up to code has moved on to a new tenant.
