Gil & Rick's Sports Bar and Pizzeria

Largo, Florida

RENAMED

Renamed since the episode, and still in business. It now goes by Sauced Sports Bar.

What happened after

Renamed Sauced Sports Bar after its Bar Rescue makeover; still operating at the same address with active Yelp, Facebook, and Restaurant Guru listings.

What happened on the show

Two long-time postal employees had a failing pizza bar on the brink of closing for good, and Taffer had to rescue both the business and their friendship. At Gil and Rick's Sports Bar and Pizzeria in Largo, Florida, the pair's partnership was fraying alongside the struggling operation, and the rescue treated the friendship and the bar as a single problem to solve. Taffer reopened the venue as Sauced, a rebrand meant to give the tired pizza bar a fresher, more marketable identity, betting that a sharper concept and a repaired partnership could pull two mail carriers' dream back from the edge of closing its doors, keeping both the business and the friendship intact. Decades of friendship rode on the outcome as much as the money the two mail carriers had sunk into their Largo pizza bar.

After the cameras left

Sauced Sports Bar stuck and is still operating at the same address, 1250 Seminole Boulevard in Largo. Active Yelp and Facebook listings and a strong RestaurantGuru profile, rated 4.8 across more than 1,400 reviews, plus a chamber-of-commerce directory entry, all confirm ongoing operation, which puts the open call at high confidence. The postal workers' bar survived the brink and kept the Sauced identity Taffer gave it, landing this one firmly among the renamed survivors, and their friendship along with it.
