Second rescue for owners Mark and Ozzie (previously Long Shots Sports Bar/Badlands, S3E29), but a different bar; not a duplicate business.
What happened after
Renamed Water's Edge Bar & Grill (also seen as Water's Edge Island Bar) after its Bar Rescue makeover; still operating at the same address under owners Mark Wilson and Ozzie, with active Yelp and TripAdvisor listings.
What happened on the show
This rescue was personal for Taffer. Owners Mark and Ozzie, whom he had helped years earlier at a Season 3 bar, had opened a new place, Edge of Town in Blue Springs, Missouri, and called him back when the staff started drinking away their success while Mark was busy running another venture. Taffer, who rarely rescues the same people twice, said he wanted them to be able to get married and took the job to help them get there. Notably, their original rescued bar had failed only because a landlord declined to renew the lease, not through any fault of theirs. The rescue worked to restore discipline at the new room. Taffer reopened it as Water's Edge Bar and Grill, betting that steadying this bar could help the couple build the future they were planning.
After the cameras left
Water's Edge Bar and Grill stuck and is still operating at the same address, 960 Southwest 37th Street in Blue Springs, under owners Mark Wilson and Ozzie. Active Yelp and TripAdvisor listings confirm ongoing operation, which puts the status at medium confidence as a renamed survivor. The couple Taffer rescued twice kept their new bar going and its Water's Edge identity intact, landing this one among the survivors, a rare second rescue that held and, by the episode's framing, helped the pair toward the marriage he had championed.
