Cap'n Odie's Lounge

Atlantic Beach, Florida

OPEN

It is still up and running.

What happened after

Same name retained through the S6E8 rescue (per Wikipedia). Currently operating at 2200 Mayport Rd, Atlantic Beach FL; Yelp and the bar's own Facebook page both show recent (2026) activity. Owned by Kim Goings, who inherited it from her father.

What happened on the show

After the original owner's death, his daughter was fighting to keep the family bar from going under. At Cap'n Odie's Lounge in Atlantic Beach, Florida, the nautical-themed room had passed to a grieving daughter, Kim Goings, trying to steady a business her father had built, and Taffer's rescue centered on giving her the tools and confidence to steer it. The rescue kept the Cap'n Odie's name through the makeover, honoring the late founder's identity, betting that helping the daughter step fully into ownership could keep the family bar afloat rather than let it sink under the weight of the loss and the inexperience that came with an unexpected handoff. An inherited nautical-themed room and a first-time owner learning the business on the fly made this a rescue about confidence as much as operations at the Atlantic Beach lounge.

After the cameras left

Cap'n Odie's Lounge is still open, and still in the family. Kim Goings, who inherited it from her father, continues to operate the bar at 2200 Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach, with both Yelp and the bar's own Facebook page showing recent 2026 activity, which puts the open call at high confidence. The daughter kept her late father's bar afloat and its name intact, landing this one firmly among the survivors, a rescue where an inherited business and a grieving owner both came through.
