Brix Wine Bar
Sunset Beach, California
No longer open. It has closed in 2021.
What happened after
Renamed Pacific Coast Wine Bar during the show, reverted to Brix, since closed. A search-discovered (not guessed) Yelp URL, yelp.com/biz/brix-wine-bar-sunset-beach, carries the quoted snippet 'Yelpers report this location has closed.' The claimed acquisition by a Bar Rescue Season 7 business called 'Bottoms Up' remains sourced ONLY to a banned tracker and is NOT used as evidence for replaced_by.
Closure date on record: 2021 (approximate)
What happened on the show
An eccentric wine bar owner was too distracted to notice his own business withering on the vine. At Brix Wine Bar in Sunset Beach, Taffer had to force a disengaged owner to actually look at the room he was neglecting, and for the recon he brought in Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro, both wired with earpieces so he could direct them from outside. The rescue worked to wake the owner up and give a drifting wine bar a reason to draw customers back to the coast. Taffer reopened the venue as Pacific Coast Wine Bar, a rebrand meant to sharpen the concept and match the beach setting, betting that a coherent identity and a re-engaged owner could pull a withering room back to life before its own inattention finished it off.
After the cameras left
Brix reverted from the Pacific Coast rebrand back to its original name and has since closed, around mid-2021. A search-discovered Yelp listing carries the closure in plain language, reporting that the location has closed, which puts the ending at medium confidence on a snippet-only citation. A claimed acquisition by a later Bar Rescue business traced only to a banned tracker and was not used. The eccentric owner's wine bar did not survive: whatever the makeover changed, the room reverted and eventually shut its doors on the Sunset Beach coast.
