barBar Rescue · Season 5, Episode 10 · Aired October 30, 2016
Brickhouse Bar & Grill
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Status unknown. No reliable current signal turned up. The last confirmed sighting we found dates to 2016.
What happened after
Renamed "Garrison Tavern" after the S5E10 rescue; informal signals indicate Garrison Tavern closed around August 2017, and a business called "The Bench" (later "The Bench in Sodo," per Colorado Dept. of Revenue liquor-license records) has since occupied 424 S Nevada Ave. No independently citable evidence URL could be obtained this session (search-infrastructure gap, see shard-level note).
What happened on the show
A military hero on the verge of redeployment needed a rescue of his own before he drank away his profits and pushed his girlfriend past the breaking point. At Brickhouse Bar and Grill in Colorado Springs, Taffer walked into a soldier's bar undermined by its owner's drinking, with a relationship fraying alongside the business and a deployment clock adding urgency to the whole intervention. The rescue leaned as much on the owner's personal reckoning as on the operation, since the drinking was the root of both problems. Taffer reopened the room as Garrison Tavern, a military-flavored rebrand meant to give a soldier's bar a fitting identity and its owner a reason to steady himself before shipping out, betting that a man who could serve his country could learn to run a room if he got the drinking under control first.
After the cameras left
Garrison Tavern's fate could not be verified with a citable source. Informal signals indicate it closed around August 2017, and a business called The Bench, later The Bench in Sodo, has since occupied the 424 South Nevada Avenue address per Colorado liquor-license records, but no independently citable evidence URL was obtained before search infrastructure gave out. With only informal leads pointing to the closure and successor, the status is honestly recorded as unverifiable, the Bench in Sodo lead flagged for a cleaner follow-up rather than asserted from uncitable signals.
