What happened on the show

The problems at Angry Ham's Garage began with the name over the door and only deepened from there. Taffer's Massachusetts rescue confronted a garage-themed Framingham bar saddled with an offensive name, decor thrown up with no thought to how a room actually works, and an owner who treated his staff as drinking buddies rather than employees. Worse, the operation could not even hold a liquor license cleanly, hamstrung by two of the owners' prior DUIs, a legal weight dragging on everything else. Taffer's job was to scrub the concept down to something a neighborhood could embrace, to reset the owner-staff dynamic, and to build a room that could stand on its own without the crutch of the old gimmick. He reopened it as Octane Bar and Grill, keeping the automotive idea but stripping out the baggage the original name carried, betting that a cleaner theme and a real boss-employee line could give the place a future its offensive branding never would.

After the cameras left

Octane ran for years before failing for good in mid-2019. The address did not stay dark: new ownership, the Ron Ebert family, took over the space and, after a brief renovation closure in late February 2021, reopened it in March 2021 as The Junkyard Bar and Grill. A directly fetched Facebook post from the new owners confirms that succession chain from a primary source. Whether The Junkyard Bar is still trading in 2026 could not be confirmed, so the present-day status of the successor is left open.
