What happened on the show

Taffer opened the very first night of his series in Corona, California, and the trouble at this sports bar started with the man who was supposed to run it. The general manager had gone so hands off that the room had no standards left to enforce, and the fallout landed squarely on the owner, whose reputation and finances both took the hit. There was no identity worth defending here: the bar drew no real crowd, and it gave Taffer's recon little reason to linger. His read was blunt, that leadership was the failure point rather than the four walls, and he spent the rescue forcing the owner to wrest control back from a manager who had let everything drift. The makeover leaned into a billiards-and-bourbon concept meant to give the room a clear purpose, and the reveal reopened the doors under a new name, Racks Billiards and Bourbon, betting that a sharper identity and an accountable owner could finally pull Corona's drinkers through the door on the strength of the series' debut spotlight.

After the cameras left

Racks Billiards and Bourbon did not settle the address. The bar was renamed again, this time to Bar 1650, a nod to its street number at 1650 East 6th Street, and that identity is the one that finally ran out of road: Bar 1650 closed in 2018. Yelp and MapQuest both carry the closed tag, and a setlist.fm venue history shows live bookings running only from 2016 to 2018. Two renames and a premiere-episode spotlight were not enough to keep the lights on.
