What happened on the show

The series 9 note on the Caspian records Alex Polizzi visiting an Ealing hotel that former beautician Nousha ran with her son. The episode summary is light on the specific problems and remedies, so the honest frame is verifiable rather than reconstructed: a small family-run west London hotel that called in the inspector during her ninth series, with a mother-and-son team at the helm. The Caspian was clearly a case the show valued, since it went on to feature in multiple later revisits, but the detail of what Polizzi first diagnosed is not preserved fully enough to assert beyond that outline. Nousha and her son's small west London hotel aired in July 2012, and the case proved enough of an ongoing story to draw revisits in both 2013 and 2015.

After the cameras left

The Caspian is a clear survivor. The nine-room hotel overlooking Haven Green in Ealing Broadway has been trading for close to fifty years, its official site live with active booking and a strong Google rating, and it explicitly references its Hotel Inspector appearance, confirming the match. The show returned repeatedly, in the 2013 and 2015 Returns specials, a mark of an enduring relationship. The Ealing property is firmly open and well reviewed today, one of the more durable results of Polizzi's ninth series.
