Housed in a century old farmhouse in the Donelson area of Nashville, Ellendale's Restaurant carried real history when it had its twelfth season episode on the series. Irvine gave Ellendale's the show's standard two day overhaul on the program's lean makeover budget, working to steady a beloved but struggling operation. The episode's on air particulars went unrecorded in the Wikipedia listing, so this page does not piece them together from guesswork. The ending was mournful and then, later, literal. The owners announced the restaurant's closure in July 2018 with a heavy hearted farewell, and by early 2025 the vacant historic farmhouse itself had been destroyed by fire.
