No reliable current-status signal located after five searches across Yahoo, Brave, and both DuckDuckGo endpoints; only trace found was a bare menu snippet on massmenus.com with no address/status text, and most query variants collided with an unrelated 'Amaro Bistro' in Bothell, WA.
What happened on the show
Frank Vairo suspected the manager of his Cave Creek Italian bistro of hiring on looks and cozying up to the staff, so he brought the matter to Charles Stiles. In a wrinkle the episode leans into, Stiles sent his own daughter Destiney, alongside diner Sarah, to interview for waitress jobs and test whether manager Tim would pick an attractive server over a qualified one. The cameras catch Tim flirting with Destiney, to Stiles' visible irritation, and trying to poach staff for his brother's restaurant. The aired confrontation dissolves into an argument that ends with Tim quitting and predicting his own place will thrive on good-looking servers. Stiles' tag says the brothers' venture folded within months. Given the staging allegations that later attached to Mystery Diners, this personality-driven sting reads best as aired, not as documented event.

Here the trail goes cold, which is its own honest answer. Mystery Diners neither saved nor sank Amaro Italian Bistro; it filmed a sting and moved on. Our 2026 searches could not pin a current open or closed status for the Cave Creek spot, in part because queries kept colliding with a same-named bistro in Washington State, so we hold it at last confirmed rather than guess. If it is still serving, it does so with almost no footprint online.
