Prohibition Grille

What happened after

Remodeled into a gastropub post-episode (chef Tyler Palagi), ran about 3 years, then sold to Brent Holland in 2016 and renamed 'Prohibition Grille and Saloon'; that business closed less than a year later (~2017). The space was subsequently occupied by Abbott's (closed during the pandemic) and currently 'Flying Pig' (opened 2021, still operating per source).

What happened on the show

Rishi Brown had opened Prohibition Grille, a self-styled gourmet Southern restaurant north of Seattle, despite being a belly dancer by trade whose only prior food experience was six months waiting tables in college, and she cheerfully admitted the idea came to her while drinking. Ramsay was baffled by the flyers for her belly-dancing act, and more so by the news that a place called the Grille did not actually have a grill. Rishi rated her food a ten and trusted her lazy chef, Rocky, who slipped away for cigarettes and phone breaks, completely. The tasting undercut all of it: a jalapeno corn chowder that had been the soup of the day for weeks and which Ramsay called slop, cornmeal-caked oysters that tasted of nothing, a gray boiled-looking filet, and a pinwheel salmon so ugly he said he would rather cartwheel out of the room. Meeting Rocky, he cracked that he felt like he had just gone twelve rounds.

After the cameras left

Prohibition Grille was remodeled into a gastropub after the episode and ran a few more years before Rishi sold it in 2016. The new owner renamed it Prohibition Grille and Saloon, and that version closed within a year. The Everett space then passed through another restaurant, Abbott's, which did not survive the pandemic, and now houses the Flying Pig, open since 2021. So the corner is still a restaurant, several identities removed from the belly dancer who dreamed it up over drinks.
