What happened after
Genuinely ambiguous: a Facebook page and phone/email listing exist for the pub (in Llanwnnen, near Lampeter), but the RestaurantGuru listing shows no reviews, no hours, and was last touched a year ago with no owner updates, and no independent local news confirms current trading either way.
What happened on the show
The Fish and Anchor, near Lampeter, was run by former Italian boxer Mike Ciminera, a room full of sports memorabilia and a reputation dented by Mike's very public feuding with his wife Caron. Passionate but untrained, Mike had built his menu straight from cookbooks by celebrity chefs, Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein, Ramsay himself, and Ramsay saw at once that home-cook recipes were too complex for a busy service. The evening proved it: half the customers went unfed, and Caron confronted and threw out several of them. Ramsay binned the cookbooks, cut the exotic dishes, and leaned into Mike's Italian heritage with an authentic meatball. Mike handled the next service far better, and Ramsay worked to ease the tension between the couple, even setting up a punching bag outside to vent. The final night was busy and Caron kept her temper, but Mike fell behind, and service was halted when a waitress slipped, was knocked unconscious, and went to hospital.
After the cameras left
This one is genuinely ambiguous, and we will say so. A Facebook page and a phone and email listing exist for the pub, in Llanwnnen near Lampeter, but a restaurant directory shows no reviews, no hours, and no owner update in about a year, and no local news confirms current trading either way. A competitor tracker offered a detailed tale of closure, sale, brief reopening, and a second closure, but as the sole source for that we excluded it rather than pass it off as fact. As of our latest pass, we cannot confirm whether the Fish and Anchor is open, so we leave it unverified.
