Overlooking the Columbia River in Hood River, Oregon, the Vagabond was a lodge in the heart of Gorge wine-and-windsurfing country, hosting travelers and weddings against one of the Pacific Northwest's most dramatic backdrops. The episode, Stormy Wedding, captured the pressure on a property whose events business had to run smoothly no matter what the weather or the operation threw at it. The Vagabond has moved on to a new identity. Around 2016 the property was rebranded, and a contemporaneous news report noted that the old Vagabond Lodge had become the Westcliff Lodge. As of our 2026 verification a direct check of the current official site confirms a live, operating hotel at the matching Westcliff Drive address overlooking the Columbia River, now with 57 rooms, a weddings-and-events business and glamping tents added since the rebrand. The Vagabond name is retired; the property itself is very much alive. Confirmed operating as of 2026 under the Westcliff name.
