What happened on the show
Another of the Operation Sandy properties, Palm Villa Suites paired a suites operation with a convenience store on the Seaside Heights boulevard, a small combined business swept up in the same Superstorm Sandy devastation that defined the special. A property running two ventures at once faces divided attention and thin margins at the best of times, and the storm turned that into a fight for survival on a shattered shore. Melchiorri's task was to help a small operator recover and refocus, tightening the suites and the retail side so both could contribute in a town rebuilding its whole economy. His guidance aimed to give the business the standards and clarity to draw returning visitors, treating the recovery as a chance to reset a stretched operation rather than simply patch the storm damage.
After the cameras left
Palm Villa Suites reopened after the storm, though its footing looks shakier than its neighbors'. A 2014 social-media post announced that the suites and convenience store had reopened, and as of our 2026 pass the property remains present in listings at 1211 Boulevard.
